AVIXA Cancels InfoComm 2020 Due to COVID-19

AVIXA cancels InfoComm 2020, the largest audio visual tradeshow in North America, due to increasing concerns for health and safety.

This morning the Audiovisual and Integrated Experience Association, more commonly known as AVIXA, announced the cancellation of InfoComm 2020, the largest professional audiovisual trade show in North America.

The announcement states:

“With concern for the health and safety of our exhibitors, attendees, partners and staff, the show management of InfoComm and the executive leadership of AVIXA™ have chosen to cancel the InfoComm 2020 show scheduled for June 13‑19 in Las Vegas, Nevada.” – AVIXA executive leadership and InfoComm show management.

Concerns regarding the current COVID-19 pandemic are what pushed this decision to finalize as events all over the country, as well as globally, have been canceled or postponed to a later date.

“InfoComm is the largest professional audiovisual trade show in North America and has always provided a one-of-a-kind experience for both its exhibitors and attendees,” said AVIXA CEO Dave Labuskes, CTS, CAE, RCDD. “We knew that in today’s environment we could not fully deliver on those experiences and consequently could not move forward. More importantly, keeping the community safe and healthy is our highest priority; therefore, we are following the guidelines of public health authorities during the ongoing challenges posed by COVID-19.”

Prior to the cancellation of InfoComm 2020, audio visual companies across the country were gearing up to exhibit at the show. TierPM AV/IT Workforce Solutions especially has been anticipating this year’s InfoComm show as they are the premier sponsor of both the AVIXA Women’s Council Breakfast and the AVIXA Diversity Council Reception.

New to InfoComm last year, the AVIXA Diversity Council Reception was planned for a second time to occur at InfoComm 2020.
